Owner / Head Coach of PT Strength LLCPhil Tran is a championship-winning high school football coach, championship-winning strength coach in high school girls and boys sports, and Baylor University Football Letterwinner.
Phil is the Owner and Head Coach of PT Strength LLC, a strength and conditioning firm specializing in athletic performance for male and female athletes of all sports, football coaching for all positions, and women’s fitness. PT Strength serves athletes and clients in Maryland, DC, Northern Virginia, Southeast Pennsylvania, and online.
Phil is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with Distinction (CSCS,*D) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Phil also serves as the NSCA Maryland State Director and is notable for organizing the largest ever NSCA Maryland State Clinic to provide continuing education for strength and conditioning professionals.
Phil is also the President and CEO of Phil Tran Public Relations LLC, specializing in advertising, photography, video, and websites for corporations, government officials, and non-profit organizations. Phil Tran PR has worked with clients nationwide to build brands and grow businesses.
Phil is currently the Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach, Running Backs Coach, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes Football Huddle Leader at Calvert Hall College High School in Baltimore, MD. He was instrumental in helping Calvert Hall achieve its winningest season ever en route to capturing the 2018 Maryland Christian Schools Invitational State Championship.
Previously, he was the Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach and Kickers Coach at the Gilman School in Baltimore, MD. He arrived at a time of transition for the storied program and helped lead the Greyhounds on a Cinderella journey toward a State Championship appearance.
Before arriving in Baltimore, Phil was a veteran football coach in the DC area, coaching in Montgomery County Public Schools and starting his coaching career in Fairfax County Public Schools. During this time, he played an important role in the playoff runs for three different high schools.
Phil played college football for Baylor University. He lettered in the sport, earned First Team Academic All-Big XII honors, won the Highest GPA Award for Baylor Football, and was awarded a football post-graduate scholarship.
